To provide students with variety and essential issues in applied Linguistics

To understand the concept of applied Linguistics To be able to define the concept of applied linguistics To be able to discuss language-based problems that people encounter in the real world To be able to discuss some issues related to language in particular those related to education scope with other educators and applied linguists
To be able to mention the scopes of applied linguistics To think of language-based problems that people encounter in the real world To be able to suggest better solutions for language-based problems that people encounter in the real world
To understand the developmental sequences of language learning. To reflect the process of the developmental sequences of students’ first language To be able to discuss the most common factors affecting second language acquisition
To recognize the three main theories explaining the First and second language acquisition To reflect the possibility of using the discussed theories in explaining the language acquisitions
To understand the concept of bilingualism To differentiate between language disorder and delay
