This course deals with the discussion and analysis of the pathophysiology of Cardiovascular diseases, Respiratory System disorders affecting Adolescents, Adult and Geriatrics. It also tackles the Nursing Process focused on altered state of health with emphasis on the plan of care of patient (Oxygenation). It also covers the physiology of the Endocrine System, the different disorders involved and the target glands affected. It also explains it’s management and treatment of the disorders of the

Students will be able to identify and recognize the subject matter that to be discussed through introduction and overview of the topic Students will be able to outline and interrelate the discussion to the subject matter Students will be able to performs specific procedures applicable to discussed abnormalities Students will be able to demonstrate good learning behavior to develop comprehension on English instruction
To provide students with adequate knowledge regarding anatomy and physiology of each body system in relation to alteration and abnormalities Student will be able to illustrate and distinguish the anatomy and physiology of an organ with abnormality in relation to present discussion Students will be able to determine priority nursing care Student will be able to value knowledge as a tool to achieve their own goals
To help student identify clinical manifestations of certain abnormalities and to distinguish appropriate nursing intervention Summarization of the identified clinical manifestations for effective medical and nursing management Identification of appropriate medications and laboratory test applicable to specific patient To help students develop critical thinking in answering questions for examinations which are useful for future use
Students will be able to select appropriate nursing diagnosis that will guide them to formulate nursing care plan Recognition of the importance of nursing care plan in relation tom patient care students will be able to build professional relationship with fellow students, patients and hospital staffs Students will be able to acquire knowledge and wisdom that they can integrate and apply to create a better nursing care to families and communities
